What Inspired CGN For Me
I had been in college for three years before I took my first internship with a general contractor. I went into this internship not knowing a single thing about what I would be working on, or the process of how the construction industry works (man the amount of paperwork!). I had worked as a laborer for a residential carpenter over the past summers, but knew nothing about the commercial construction world. Let me tell you, my eyes opened up wide that first summer.
Eight years later, now a Project Manager for a general contractor, there have been many ups and downs that have guided me to this point in my career. I have been part of great teams on tough projects, and part of great teams on great projects, but one thing that I continuously think about is the people that have helped me learn along the way. I have had the benefit of great teachers, mentors, and like-minded teammates always pushing the envelope on the efficiency and quality of our work. This is why I was excited to be a part of the Construction Growth Network.
I have always had a passion for teaching and enjoy speaking to people in our industry and sharing my experiences. Our industry has many great people with the common goal of building our communities. That is our goal as well at CGN, we want to bring this community together and share our lessons learned with the industry. I look forward to building this community and sharing knowledge with everyone in this industry!
